If one piece of news has consistently floated across phone screens this week, it is Brooklyn Peltz Beckham’s shockingly detailed series of Instagram stories. Posted on Sunday, Brooklyn finally spoke out on the heated family allegations that have been stirring between him, his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and the Beckham family for years. Since Brooklyn and Nicola’s 2022 nuptials, Deuxmoi has been aware of the Beckham family's ongoing tension. Kept on an alleged basis until now, Brooklyn validated what was once hearsay: there’s bad blood.
Highlighted in Deuxmoi’s January 19th newsletter and on Deux/U’s January 22nd podcast, Brooklyn posted a series of jaw-dropping stories. Addressing the many elephants in the room, Brooklyn discussed his family dynamics, Nicola’s wedding dress debacle, disheartening wedding behavior, family briberies, potential manipulation, the Beckham “brand,” amongst other notes. Although the story is still unfolding, Deuxmoi has heard an earful: the good, the bad, and the not-so-pretty ambiguity.
But we need to rewind for a minute.
On April 9th, 2022, Brooklyn and Nicola exchanged vows at the Peltz family compound in Palm Beach, Florida, legalizing their love. At the time, rumors had swirled of rising animosity between the newlyweds and their respective in-laws. From last-minute dress changes to MIL mayhem, it appeared that the Beckhams, specifically Victoria, were attempting to tear their son’s relationship apart. However, Brooklyn and Nicola’s joint cover interviews, fashion week support, and social media appearances kept the chatter at a minimum for the interim. It appeared that whatever issues were between them had been quashed–until David Beckham’s 50th birthday and Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull (who was allegedly involved with Brooklyn years ago), entered the chat.
Fast forward to December 2025: Deuxmoi revealed just what was going on between Brooklyn and his family, resulting in Brooklyn blocking his family members on Instagram. Despite speculation that David and Victoria unfollowed their son on Instagram, Cruz Beckham confirmed that Brooklyn actually blocked the family. Deuxmoi had been informed that Nicola’s presence had greatly impacted Brooklyn, ultimately causing growing resentment between Brooklyn and his parents due to their “conditional” love.
And a source reaffirmed Deuxmoi’s claims after the article’s publication. Chiming in on the once speculation, the source emphasized “David and Victoria refuse to listen to Brooklyn when he expresses how he feels, and they still look at him like a child who doesn’t have his own thoughts and feelings. The blocking wasn’t malicious, it was a last resort for boundary setting.”
Deuxmoi is disseminating excerpts of Brooklyn’s POV, our sources’ information, and the family’s reactions below:
The Wedding Venue & Nicola’s Wedding Dress:
“My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”
Surrounding the wedding festivities, Vogue published an article on Nicola’s dress, noting that the bride had conversations with Valentino for about a year. On initial inspection, it would seem that Brooklyn was being hyperbolic over the “eleventh hour” comment. However, Deuxmoi has been told that both things are true. A source spilled to Deuxmoi that “[Nicola] did go to Valentino [two to four] weeks before the wedding, very upset asking if he would have enough time to make her gown.” It’s purported that Nicola “spent a fortune” on the design, though her family’s wealth likely exceeds that of the Beckham’s.
Shedding more light on the old money family ties, a source indicated to Deuxmoi that Nicola’s father invested in her Hollywood-bound career, gaining access to whatever the children desired. In fact, the source said, “Nicola wanted to be an actress so Nelson [Peltz] allegedly funded the movies in exchange for his daughter to be in them. She's desperate to be famous, and the fact [that] the Beckhams are so beloved and [being] famous is the one thing money can't buy.”
Similarly, the wedding location was allegedly chosen to put the power in Nicola’s court, as a source intimated to Deuxmoi. In a nutshell, the insider said that “the Beckhams were great guests but have famous friends and are obviously famous, so [they] had attention on them that took away from Nicola.”
We must make mention that Mrs. Peltz Beckham had sought to work with Valentino from the beginning. An insider said to Deuxmoi that “allegedly she was talking to [the team] upwards of a year before the wedding about making her dress. But Victoria had insisted on making the dress…But they couldn’t agree on the design because [Nicola] wanted it one way–but Victoria wanted it another.” The tipster concluded that supposedly because they couldn’t see eye to eye on their vision, “Victoria allegedly cancelled the whole thing.”
That First Dance:
“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
As Deuxmoi has previously addressed, there were on-location whispers of Marc Anthony’s “awkward” speech, subsequently “[dedicating] a song to Victoria and Brooklyn, which set Nicola off, literally [running] out crying, and her entire family went after her.” The source emphasized that her new husband intercepted her as soon as the song was over. In fact, the couple “did not come back until after the party.” Another eagle-eyed tipster witnessed that dance. Based on their observations, “Victoria did not dance inappropriately.”
Later in the evening, DJ Fat Tony, who has played at multiple Beckham events, kept the party going. Speaking out on ITV’s “This Morning” about this week’s intensity, the DJ provided clarity on the turmoil. Seemingly pardoning Victoria’s behavior, the performer insisted that “there was no Spice Girl action.” The “inappropriate” nature involved “the timing” itself.
Per his detailed recollection: “Marc Anthony was performing on stage. He then called Brooklyn onto stage. Brooklyn went onto the stage where the next minute, everyone [was] expecting it to be Nicola, to go up and do the first dance. And then, Marc Anthony asks the most [beautiful] woman in the room to come to the stage. And then he says, ‘Victoria come to the stage.’ So, Victoria’s by the stage, she goes onto the stage, and of course at that point, Brooklyn’s like suddenly, literally devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife. Then Nicola leaves the room, crying her eyes out...”
Another tipster conveyed to Deuxmoi that the performer had pure intentions, citing it as “an off-the-cuff compliment, as he was Victoria’s guest and had kindly said he would sing. It was a passing comment, not a dig at all, but Nicola being Nicola ran out crying.” A separate observer described Victoria’s on-stage involvement as a means of relegating the awkwardness away from “Nicola’s tantrum” and subsequent running off.
These anecdotal accounts will purely remain as such, given that “there were no phones allowed inside,” according to multiple sources.
Frosting just another layer of familial and social icing, a source, who worked at the wedding, alleged to Deuxmoi that “apparently the Beckhams do not like the Peltzs and vice versa. They do not speak to each other or even acknowledge each other. And there was no lovey-dovey cuteness coming from the bride and groom in between pictures. [Nicola] would bitch and yell at [Brooklyn], and they were fighting about what news the paparazzi and media were posting. And then they would pose for a picture and then go right back to bitching at each other also.” Affirming these suspicions yet again, a well-placed source said “There’s a full power competition between the families.”
The Other Woman:
“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.”
For over a year, Romeo, Brooklyn’s 23-year-old model brother, has been in an on/off relationship with Kim Turnbull, likely one of the women Brooklyn is referencing above. When Romeo’s relationship initially made headlines, a source confidently told Deuxmoi that Turnbull “might not be in the relationship for the right reasons. She tried to aggressively get with older brother Brooklyn while in high school. And when her advances failed, she went after Romeo.” The source intimated that Turnbull had a tendency to date upward in society, perhaps a social climber of sorts.
Although this has not been readily mentioned, Cruz Beckham (and the Breakers) announced his first headlining tour, The For Your Love Tour, this week. Overshadowed by the uproarious nature of his brother’s statements, a Deuxmoi community member found the stories’ release to be of questionable timing. We can only imagine this added yet another layer of complexity and frustration to the Beckham household.
Consensus:
So who is at fault? Well, Deuxmoi believes there are five sides to this story: Brooklyn’s, Nicola’s, Victoria’s, David’s, and the truth itself. Appearing on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Tuesday, David offered his PR-friendly viewpoint on the situation: “Children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn. So that’s what I try to teach my kids. But you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.”
Ever once the thickest of thieves, Selena Gomez has noticeably distanced herself from Nicola and Brooklyn, having been absent from their wedding and onward. Pre-Benny Blanco, a source whispered to Deuxmoi that Gomez was “secretly dating Brad Peltz,” Nicola’s brother. When the relationship ended, allegedly things got messy between them, particularly on Nicola’s side.
A source spoke to Deuxmoi and said that Victoria and David allegedly “blame everything on Nicola’s influence in [Brooklyn’s] life and have no problem trying to tell the press all about it, so the world turns against her and pressures Brooklyn enough to divorce her.”
Playing devil’s advocate here, an opposing source offered that allegedly “Brooklyn is so under [the Peltz’] spell and is scared of them that he felt torn and blamed his mum,” attributing to why he abruptly left the wedding for quite some time.
And one more sprinkling of mounting evidence? A source claimed to Deuxmoi that the wedding was meant to be for a Netflix special. However, when Nicola’s wedding planners took legal action against her, her father quietly wrote a few checks to dismiss the allegations and documentary.
A source summarized Brooklyn’s sentiments concisely to Deuxmoi: “The Beckham family has always prioritized looking like a perfect family to the public - all Brooklyn asked was that they actually make efforts to have that be the case in private too, with no more lies and manipulations. But that’s always been too much to ask of David and Victoria.”
Deuxmoi only hopes time and space will bring everyone back together again.
