BECKHAM BAD BLOOD?
First, there was love. Then, there was marriage. And now, there’s a feud that’s spiraled from a whole lot of family drama.
Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham have had their fair share of media scrutiny. From their lavish Palm Beach wedding in April 2022 to Brooklyn’s segue into cooking to the public’s obsession with the Beckham’s family dynamics, people love to talk about them. In their latest wave of media coverage, Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent at David Beckham’s grand 50th birthday celebrations in England. Although neither of the husband and wife duo has commented on these current news headlines, it would appear that Brooklyn is not in a good place with his family—and that might initially have had something to do with his brother Romeo’s choice in a female companion.
But first, let’s rewind to April 9, 2022: Brooklyn and Nicola officially marry, inclusive of gorgeous Vogue coverage. At first glance, every detail has been beautifully accounted for. But beyond the camera lens, the alleged Nicola snubbing began. As reported in Deux/U’s April 21, 2022 episode, a wedding onlooker revealed to Deuxmoi just what allegedly went down during Marc Anthony’s speech and subsequent performance. The source said that “the speech was the most awkward thing, as he did not mention Nicola or her family at all. He then dedicated a song to Victoria and Brooklyn, which set Nicola off.” The bride “literally ran out crying and her entire family went after her.” Her newly minted husband “ran directly outside” post mother-son dance.
In a June 2025 Glamour Germany cover interview, Brooklyn and Nicola talked about taking pause and soaking up newlywed bliss during their wedding — in the form of “a quick drive.” The above source mentioned that after the Marc Anthony mishap, Brooklyn and Nicola “did not come back until the after party.” Did they go for an intentional drive, or was it to escape further turmoil? To make matters worse at the wedding festivities, “Nicola’s acting coach and stylist were the only ones there that held a speech for her,” so Deuxmoi’s source claimed.

The same source divulged to Deuxmoi that allegedly “there was noticeable tension between Nicola and Victoria. The Beckhams didn’t really interact with the Peltzes.” Another guest at the wedding shared with Deuxmoi that “allegedly the Beckham parents do not like the Peltz parents and vice versa.” It was so contentious that supposedly “they [did] not speak to each other or even acknowledge each other.” Weddings don’t always bring out the best in others, so it’s hard to say where the animosity was truly stemming from. Additionally, the insider felt that Nicola was channeling her inner bridezilla during the wedding photoshoot, particularly directing her frustrations toward her new husband. However, based on Deuxmoi’s sources and observations, there could have been incredible pressure and familial strife in the midst of her nuptials, clouding Nicola’s own patience.
After the wedding, there were reports of Nicola and Victoria not getting along, linking the spat to Nicola’s choice of bridal attire — she wore Valentino when one might have predicted a Victoria Beckham original gown. Later that year, Nicola squashed their alleged beef in a Variety interview, with Brooklyn confirming the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law had an amicable relationship.
But 2025 is a different story. And this time around, Brooklyn appears to be questioning his family’s loyalty, which was briefly addressed in Deux/U’s June 5th episode.
On February 18, 2025, Deuxmoi received an email submission about Romeo Beckham and his new girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. Allegedly, the source claimed that “[Turnbull] tried to aggressively get with Brooklyn while in high school, and when her advances failed, she went after Romeo coincidentally.” The source described Romeo’s girlfriend as someone with a “history of trying to date into famous families and previously dated another nepo baby from pop diva fame.” Flash forward over two months later, and Romeo brought along Turnbull to his father’s birthday party in early May. (Despite People Magazine only reporting about the “development” this week, Deuxmoi has been aware of this “news” for months!) Needless to say, Turnbull’s presence allegedly did not sit well with Brooklyn, and he opted against attending his father’s big night. Take a quick look on any Beckham family member’s Instagram page, and there is not one photo of a Mr. or Mrs. Peltz Beckham documented at David’s birthday bash.
In the last few days, major media outlets have reported of a rumored breakup between Romeo and his DJ girlfriend, arguably caused by the brotherly tiff. Something tells us that Romeo decided blood is thicker than water.
While Brooklyn and Nicola have stayed mum on this supposedly ongoing family quarrel, the lovebirds are as strong as ever. Per Deuxmoi’s day-to-day celebrity intel, the couple’s love is the real deal–and that’s not changing any time soon.
Here’s hoping Brooklyn and the Beckham clan can mend fences soon…or Turnbull finds another nepo baby.
