DAKOTA JOHNSON AND MGK SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER AFTER PRIVATE MEETUP AT TAYLOR SWIFT’S NYC APARTMENT
Dakota Johnson and MGK were spotted spending time together in New York City on Friday night, but what exactly is going on between the two remains unclear.
According to a well placed source, Johnson and MGK had a private meetup at Taylor Swift’s Tribeca apartment while Swift was out of town. Johnson reportedly arrived first in a black SUV that drove directly into the building’s garage, where a member of Swift’s team was on hand to help with access. Approximately 30 minutes later, MGK arrived and was escorted inside by Johnson’s security guard.
The pair reportedly spent several hours alone inside the apartment before leaving together and heading to Johnson’s nearby hotel, where they remained for the night. MGK was also seen helping Johnson out of the car before the two quickly made their way inside.
While the circumstances certainly raise some questions, the nature of Johnson and MGK’s relationship is unknown. There is no confirmation that the two are romantically involved, and their private hangout could have been entirely platonic.
One possible connection? Both Johnson and MGK attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in July. Johnson is a longtime friend of Swift’s, while MGK has been friends with Kelce for years. It’s unclear whether the two knew each other before the wedding or if that’s where they first connected, and there doesn’t appear to be a previously documented friendship or any known upcoming project involving them.
Swift herself was not in New York at the time of Friday night’s meet up. Deuxmoi received a separate sighting placing Swift and Kelce together in Kansas City that same night.
For now, all that can be confirmed is that Johnson and MGK spent a significant amount of time together Friday night first privately at Swift’s apartment and later at Johnson’s hotel. What that means, if anything, remains to be seen.
