NEW SIGHTING ADDS CONTEXT TO DAKOTA JOHNSON AND MGK’S NYC NIGHT
New information is providing additional context surrounding Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly’s night together in New York City; specifically, what may have happened after MGK escorted Dakota back to her hotel.
According to sources, Dakota and MGK first connected at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in July. There was allegedly some flirtation between the two, but Dakota made it clear at the time that she had a boyfriend, musician Role Model.
Deuxmoi previously raised the possibility that Dakota’s interest in MGK may have played a role in the end of her relationship with Role Model. There is still no confirmation that MGK had anything to do with their breakup. However, if sources are correct that Dakota and MGK first connected at the wedding and there was already an interest there, that possibility remains open.
Separately, MGK had been spending time with a woman from Ohio earlier this summer. The two were not exclusive, but there was allegedly mutual interest.
Fast forward to their recent Friday night in NYC. Dakota was photographed having dinner with friends at Estela, located on East Houston Street in NoLita. MGK was not at the dinner.
According to sources, MGK was later called on to help escort Dakota back to the Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca, providing additional context for why the two were photographed arriving at the hotel together. Sources allege that Dakota, now single, expressed interest in MGK that evening. According to sources, however, nothing romantic happened between the two.
Now, a separate sighting from later that night may further support that account.
A Deuxmoi reader reported seeing MGK around 2:30 a.m. outside (SUB)MERCER, the late night lounge located beneath the Mercer Hotel in SoHo. The reader claimed he was outside smoking while several young women were flirting with him.
The Mercer is roughly a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Greenwich Hotel, where MGK had reportedly escorted Dakota earlier that night. Of course, MGK and Dakota arrived at the Greenwich Hotel by car, so he could have just as easily gotten back into a car and headed to SoHo afterward.
If the 2:30 a.m. sighting was in fact MGK, his presence outside (SUB)MERCER later that night would appear consistent with sources’ account that he did not remain with Dakota after escorting her back to her hotel.
When photos from the night initially surfaced, questions naturally arose about what happened between Dakota and MGK after they arrived at the Greenwich Hotel. Sources maintain that despite how the evening may have appeared from the outside, the circumstances that actually unfolded were quite different.
Deuxmoi cannot independently confirm what happened between Dakota and MGK privately or independently verify the later (SUB)MERCER sighting. However, the new information provides additional context to the original reporting and potentially offers a clearer timeline of what happened after MGK escorted Dakota back to her hotel.
