Billie Eilish was spotted at a Beverly Hills hair salon this week, and it appears the singer is getting ready for a major new chapter in her career. Eilish’s salon visit comes as she prepares for her debut in Sarah Polley’s upcoming adaptation of "The Bell Jar".
The Grammy-winning artist is set to take on the role of Esther Greenwood, the iconic protagonist of Sylvia Plath’s 1963 novel. The film, which will be written and directed by Oscar winner Sarah Polley, is expected to begin filming later this month.
Insiders tell us Eilish is expected to head to Toronto within the next couple of weeks as production gears up. The story follows Esther, a bright and ambitious young woman navigating life in 1950s New York while quietly struggling with her mental health.
Eilish has reportedly undergone a hair transformation ahead of filming, darkening her hair to better align with the character’s appearance in the novel.
The project marks Eilish’s first leading role in a feature film.
