The film company was behind several Sweeney-led projects, including “Anyone But You” and “Immaculate.” In the new year, Sweeney filed registration for Fifty-Fifty Films, Inc., seemingly shading her ex per reports. Despite these salacious rumors, Deuxmoi can exclusively confirm a far different tale: ill-begotten feelings are a thing of the past.
A source close to the situation informed Deuxmoi of the truth behind the fictitious headlines. The insider told Deuxmoi that “there was no secrecy or drama around Fifty-Fifty Films being dissolved nor was Jonathan paid to close the company. Sydney’s choice to reuse Fifty-Fifty Films’ name after they dissolved it was also not a ‘blow’ to Jonathan in any way. In fact, he is flattered [that] she wants to keep what they built alive.”
Sweeney and Davino were together for most of Sweeney’s 20s, clearly having a major impact on her. Deuxmoi's source described “their 7.5 year relationship,” as being “inseparable." The tipster divulged that they "did everything together, including making movies, building houses and even co-founding SYRN together.” Reports alleged that Davino tried to manipulate Sweeney’s career, but that was nowhere near the truth. “This narrative [that] he was ‘controlling’ and ‘using her’ is too much. It’s not true, it’s harmful, and it has got to stop.”
And as far as codependency goes? Deuxmoi’s source emphasized that both parties were and are “successful” in their respective lanes. “Together, they were a power couple. He moved heaven and earth to support her in every way throughout the relationship, because they were partners, and they were in love,” as told by the source.
Time heals all wounds, and sometimes, certain creative projects need to say farewell, allowing opportunity elsewhere. Deuxmoi’s source succinctly summarized where Sweeney and Davino currently stand: “Like Sydney, he’s now refocusing his time and energy on new projects and just wants to get back to focusing on his own life and not building Sydney’s.
