SOPHIE TURNER & CHRIS MARTIN’S CASUAL ROMANCE OR ARE 'SPARKS' FLYING BETWEEN THEM?
They’re A-listers. They’re hot. They’re British. And they’re both single. What more could you ask for in an autumn romance?
After news reports swirled of an under-the-radar situation transpiring between Sophie Turner and Chris Martin, we had to backtrack for a second. Per Deuxmoi’s sources as of early September, Turner was allegedly still dating her on/off ex-boyfriend, Peregrine Pearson. Martin has remained single since the summertime, after an on/off long-term relationship with Dakota Johnson officially ended in June. Through Deuxmoi’s trusted grapevine, it would appear that Turner and Martin are casually seeing each other.
As discussed on Deux/U’s October 30th podcast episode, allegedly Turner and Martin recently had a low-key rendezvous. Deuxmoi’s source echoed similar information, saying that “it’s just a casual fling and likely won’t last long.” Stirring the teapot into London Fog territory, a source close to Martin says, “He’s definitely enjoying dating a British woman after all these years with Americans. It’s nice to have that shared cultural connection.”
The Coldplay frontman dated the “Materialists” actress for about eight years, with Deuxmoi falling under the belief that they were in fact engaged at one point. However, the nature of their relationship resulted in several breaks, and inevitably, a final bow. Deuxmoi had received word that allegedly the breakup had occurred earlier this year, but Johnson wanted to release the news on her own terms. The plot thickened further when Martin actively promoted his ex-girlfriend’s film amidst his Las Vegas concert in June.
After a heavily publicized divorce from Joe Jonas in late 2023, Turner returned home to the United Kingdom–and found love with the aristocratic Pearson. Despite a brief breakup in the spring of this year, Deuxmoi’s tipsters spotted Turner and Pearson spending time together in London this past summer. However, that ship also appears to have sailed once and for all, though maybe Turner loves a good ol’ rockstar romance (Ironically, she can be seen starstruck over a video of Martin wishing her a happy birthday, circa February 2020).
Martin and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow’s divorce famously coined the term “conscious uncoupling,” and we can’t help but associate Jonas and Turner’s own healthy co-parenting style along a similar vein. Turner and Martin do have a lot in common: kids, divorce, fame, English roots, and a little thing called privacy.
Whether they embark on the adventure of a lifetime or a spicy fling, the timing could not more perfectly align in their universe…
