It’s the naked truth!
What happens when you cast the Queen of Baywatch and the King of Action Thrillers as love interests on the silver screen? Sparks just might fly, offscreen that is. After Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson embarked on their recent press tour for "The Naked Gun", a real-life relationship seemed sweeter than fiction. While People recently confirmed their romance, Deuxmoi has received exclusive intel on the couple’s early days.
Neeson has made no bones about his ongoing affinity for Anderson, as he cannot say enough sweet words about the 58-year-old bombshell. Speaking to People in 2024, the actor said, “With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her. She's just terrific to work with.” While the latter portion of his quote errs on the side of friendly, few actors would willingly discuss their adoration for a co-star if it was not the real deal.
Flash forward to their press appearances for their action comedy film: both actors were seen exiting the Corinthia London–not too long after one another. Perhaps it was simply a convenient central location for them, but our instincts tell us otherwise…
So how and when did the romance begin?
As discussed in Deux/U’s July 31st podcast episode, Deuxmoi has been told by a source that “they did first get together when they started filming "The Naked Gun". Then after filming wrapped, things cooled off a little bit and now that they’re back together for press, things heated up again.”
While the romance is “on,” it is not fullspeed ahead for both parties. A separate source conveyed to Deuxmoi that “apparently, [Anderson] is the more cautious one out of both of them. Allegedly, [Neeson] really kept in contact with her between when the filming wrapped and when press started.” So the story goes, the actor was in it for the right reasons with his leading lady. Deuxmoi’s source said “he let her know that he was not just looking for a ‘What Happens on Set, Stays on Set' [typeof] Fling.” As to be expected, the source added that the 73-year-old Oscar nominee “thought she was incredible” — and has expressed his feelings to her behind closed doors.
Aside from a two-year romance with a normie PR executive, Neeson has kept his personal life out of the spotlight since the 2009 death of his beloved wife, Natasha Richardson. Although Anderson has walked down the aisle a handful of times (five times to be exact), the Academy Award-nominated starlet is in her most confident era yet: naturally fierce and comfortable in her skin. Clearly, Neeson has taken notice.
Aside from watching their newly released movie, we will baywatchin’ for more sightings of the newest (and cutest!) power couple.
