MEGAN MORONEY & RILEY GREEN: DONE FOR GOOD.

...it’s about to be a bumpy ride!

After a slew of inquiries surrounding Megan Moroney and Riley Green’s relationship status, Deuxmoi can finally provide readers with some substantial insight on the situation–and Ella Langley’s “role” in the matter.

Megan Moroney, who dubs herself as a “professional emo cowgirl,” has become a household name for her heart-wrenching, relatable lyrics. Unsurprisingly, her personal life has not been left untarnished. The Grammy-nominated singer was recently linked to fellow country star Riley Green, as fans suspected a romance brewing between the two songbirds.

Starting over last year’s holiday season, Moroney and Green shared the stage a few times to perform his hit song, “Don’t Mind If I Do” (more on that song’s relevance in a bit). To escape the cold and get some much-needed R&R, both Nashville-based singers separately *yet conveniently* opted for a St. Barts getaway–which Moroney coyly addressed in a Rolling Stones cover interview. Fast forward a few weeks later and the duo may or may not have been seen wearing the same cowboy hat at Losers, a popular Nashville bar affiliated with Green himself.

But Green is not some prince charming per se, rather a cowboy who enjoys, well, horsing around.

An exclusive source filled in Deuxmoi on just what’s been going on between Moroney, Green, and ACM’s 2025 New Female Artist of the Year, Ella Langley. Contextually, Green and Langley have collaborated on multiple ACM award-winning songs, particularly the aforementioned “Don’t Mind If I Do” and “You Look Like You Love Me.” And the performers’ on-stage chemistry is electric, clearly fueling those rumors.

Deuxmoi’s source alleged that Moroney and Green were in a “casual PR relationship that was fun and beneficial on both ends.” The eagle-eyed source recalled the duo attending a “ baby shower and leaving [the Nashville] airport together,” despite the relationship’s low-key tone. Allegedly, Green called it off “in early June when Megan was demanding more commitment.” While Moroney may have caught feelings, “[Green] never promised to be more than casual.” The source went on to say that the FWPRB (Friends with PR Benefits) even met Green’s family in Alabama, though that’s par for the course with his alleged “fuckboy lifestyle.” The source noted that his various female companions “are 100% complicit” and aware of his behavioral antics. Remaining on brand, Green proceeded to invite “another influencer with him in Panama City Beach less than a month later who also met his family.”

Whispers began blaming Langley, his frequent collaborator, for the unraveling situationship. But it wasn’t a “love triangle” type of debacle—although a Deuxmoi source believes both women may have (separately) tangled in some bed sheets with the male singer. Another source told Deuxmoi that Langley and Moroney’s “falling out” was not about “jealousy” with Green, rather Langley’s own reputation and subsequent emotional turmoil. “Ella wanted Riley and Megan to stop PR baiting because it was pitting Ella against Megan in a negative way," our source alleges. Langley, who has recently shot to fame, started receiving an overwhelming amount of new found “media attention” on a personal level, which “weighed on her that people were constantly comparing her to Megan.” The source added that Moroney was allegedly not game to end things with Green, and “Ella was upset that Megan wasn’t being a girl’s girl” or “taking seriously how this was affecting her mental health.”

Things got too messy, and one might say that Green chose his professional obligations over brief personal gain, as Deuxmoi’s sources surmised. Not so ironically, Green and Langley just nabbed the ACM’s Single of the Year for “You Look Like You Love Me”– obviously a relationship worth sustaining.

Since the Moroney-Green schism, Music City’s cowboy casanova has continued with his casual antics. Long story short, “Riley continued on with his fuckboy behavior, so Megan realized it was over.” In Green’s so-called “defense,” he claimed it “was always casual, and he did nothing wrong by having other girls around.”

And as far as Green and Langley’s relationship is concerned, there’s not an ounce of bad blood. A Deuxmoi source confirmed that they “remain close friends.” Meanwhile, “[Moroney] will use the breakup to her advantage for PR bait as much as possible.”

Although the romantic rodeo has ended, Green might be the only one who needs to be lassoed. We’re hoping Moroney and Langley mend fences soon. After all, Nashville isn’t that big of a city…
