Update 5/29/25: Despite previous speculation from Deuxmoi’s exclusive source, Hoda Kotb confirmed on her May 28th “TODAY” appearance that she will not be re-entering her daytime TV hosting era. Just last week, Deuxmoi’s source was nearly 100% confident that *allegedly* Kotb would be replacing Kelly Clarkson on her eponymous show. In fact, this would-be news trickled down from within the Kotb circle, seemingly accurate information. While we’re unsure how and why this announcement was halted, Deuxmoi’s source was perplexed as well. The former television host mentioned that she will be appearing on an upcoming episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” so perhaps Clarkson changed her mind, Kotb chose against the opportunity, the network went in a different direction, and/or it was the case of a conversation lost in translation.
Per her “TODAY” interview with former co-workers Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin, Kotb will instead be focusing her efforts on the launch of her wellness company, Joy 101.
Daytime television could be on the cusp of a significant shift, as an exclusive tip to our desk suggests a major change is coming to a popular talk show. We've received word that Hoda Kotb is allegedly taking over "The Kelly Clarkson Show".
While details are scarce at this moment, our source indicates that an official announcement can supposedly be expected next week. The reason for this rumored transition? We're hearing that Kelly Clarkson herself wanted to leave the show to focus on her music, possible touring and other projects.
It's unclear at this time what the new show will be named, but it's expected to retain the same time slot. Fans of both Hoda Kotb and Kelly Clarkson will undoubtedly be eager for more information, and we'll be keeping our ears to the ground for further updates on this developing story.
