HEMSWORTH BROTHERS: AN ENGAGEMENT AND A DIVORCE?
They may be living Down Under, but the Hemsworth brothers and their love lives remain at the forefront of the public’s curiosity. As summer winds down, whispers have gained momentum over Chris and Liam Hemsworth‘s respective relationship statuses—which seems to have heated up recently, based on combined sightings and Deuxmoi intel.
Outlined in Deux/U’s August 14th podcast episode, a reader submitted in Deuxmoi’s Instagram Q&A about photos released of Liam and long-time girlfriend Gabrielle Brooks wearing a ring on a particular finger. While nothing is set in stone (aside from her massive rock), it would appear that the couple are taking the next step forward in their relationship: matrimony!
On a different, much dimmer note, Liam’s older brother Chris is in the hot seat as well. Mentioned within Deuxmoi’s July 28th newsletter, a tipster allegedly spotted the real-life Thor on Raya. Despite our initial shock and the eagle-eyed app user’s own surprise, the source reconfirmed that Chris’s “location was [in] London.” And indeed, the actor has filmed multiple projects across the pond this year.
Chris has been married to actress Elsa Pataky since 2010. The couple’s marriage has been picked apart for the last few years, specifically when they went months without being seen together IRL or on social media. Rewind to Deux/U’s January 25th, 2024 podcast episode, and Chris's breakup rumors had reached new heights. A source told Deuxmoi that “[Chris] was almost fully signed up to do a film with [the source], but had to pull out [at the] last minute due to marriage issues. And he would have been required to be in Ireland for a minimum of six months.” However, just a month later on Deux/U’s February 29th, 2024 episode, a source cheekily spilled to Deuxmoi that “they just went on holidays separately. They’re fine.” So TBD.
It is unclear where Chris and Elsa’s marriage currently stands, alongside Liam’s own engagement. Should the wedding rumors have validity, Elsa’s attendance or absence at her brother-in-law’s celebrations will speak volumes. Until then, we will see if the famously private brothers drop any hints—or Deuxmoi’s readers fill in the missing pieces…
