WHERE TO BE PAMPERED LIKE A STAR: LOS ANGELES EDITION

Los Angeles celebrities always look so zen, glowy, and refreshed––even after sitting in traffic. Their secret? It's probably where they get their facials, nails, and hair done. So we visited these LaLa Land spa and salon destinations to uncover some of the treatments your favorite stars get (that they've shared of course — while these spots are mostly warm and welcoming, they're also understandably very discrete….)

Bellacures Nails*

There are a few Bellacures in town, but we like the one tucked away in Brentwood Village with its cheery yellow exterior that feels fresh out of Tuscany. Choose from deep hydration, anti-aging, lymphatic drainage CBD, and even seasonal mani-pedis where the scents change based on the time of year. We hear Tyler, The Creator is a regular (he brings his own line of polish). LeBron James (who doesn't bring his own polish) and his boys have also been seen here getting pedicures together (aww).

Beverly Hills Nail Design*

Once a paparazzi destination, known for their designs and impeccable manicures is nice but has no frills despite being in the heart of Beverly Hills just up the street from Pretty Woman's Beverly Wilshire and Rodeo Drive. The paps have previously caught Emmy Rossum, Tara Reid, 7th Heaven's Catherine Hicks, and even Jane Fonda getting pampered here. Our sources have more recently spotted Nicky Hilton.

Biologique Recherche

Walking into Biologique Recherche makes you feel like you're in an episode of Emily In Paris from the calming Parisian music to the intake forms translated from French. Famous for their 120-minute Soin Triple Lift, which tones and firms sagging skin. Their facials use cooling techniques instead of hot towels or steam which will make your skin feel instantly refreshed and leaves you looking like a glazed donut. Celebrity fans include Olivia Culpo, Kris Jenner, Suki Waterhouse, and Jennifer Garner.

Butter Nails & Waxing*

Just a little east of Fairfax on Sunset in a shopping mall is where you can get the most efficient mani-pedis in town (especially when you make an appointment) with technicians who are masters at re-creating any design you see on socials. We love their All Buttered Up mani and or pedi which comes with a massage and paraffin wrap that makes us feel like we have new skin. Almost every time you go in, you'll see a celebrity trying to stay incognito, our sources have spotted Chrishell Stause, Emma Hernan, and Emma Roberts here.

Chris McMillan Salon

You know Chris McMillan as Jennifer Ainston's hair stylist – creator of "The Rachel" who today often makes cameos on her Instagram. Since 2002 he's had his own bougie Beverly Hills boutique salon where he's done the hair of celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, Sarah-Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Julia Roberts, to name a few…

"The best manicures in the world," raved a customer when we checked out this newer salon around the corner from the Brentwood Country Mart. Known for their organic and eco-conscious treatments like their signature Instabright mani and or pedi that comes with a milk soak, seaweed, and buttercream wrap. It's no surprise our readers have spotted the former first lady of California herself here: Maria Shriver.

Kate Somerville

Upstairs from the flagship Alfred Coffee on Melrose Place in a historic ivy-wrapped building Sean Connery once called home and Johnny Depp later made his office, sits this sprawling spa that feels like walking into Blair Waldorf's Upper Eastside penthouse. Known for their tech-forward facials that use clinical-grade products to work with skin's needs. We love their Platinum Signature Facial with Clear Silk ($565), which came with laser treatment and left our skin feeling radiant and snatched with virtually no downtime. It's no surprise Brittany Snow, Nina Dobrev, Madelyn Cline, Dove Cameron, and Zoey Deutch love it too. Erin and Sarah Foster are also regulars with Erin shouting out their Forever Young BBL laser treatment ($550) on their podcast.

Milk & Honey Culver City*

Here you can get everything from massages, facials, waxes, lashes, nails, and body treatments to chemical peels, laser skin treatments, microneedling, injectables, fillers, and if you're lucky a Mandy Moore sighting…

Ole Henriksen Spa

From the outside, it looks like just another storefront in Sunset Plaza, across the street from the TikTok foodie destination Saltie Girl and next door to one of fitness girlies' favorite workouts Hot Pilates. Inside it's an oasis that keeps going….and going with saunas, steam rooms, and baths. Known for its couple-based body treatments and solo facials, Ole Heriksen's line of products (integrated into the treatments) has been a Hollywood favorite since it launched in 1984, but this is the brand's only spa location that has been drawing in celebrities like Charlize Theron, Ellen Degeneres, Brittany Snow, and even 007 himself Daniel Craig.

Paul Jean Salon

This word-of-mouth hair haven doesn't even have a website or Instagram, but it does have five stars on Yelp with clients calling French brothers Paul Jean and Fabien's quiet luxury destination "brilliant" and "simply the best" as they work with your hair, not against it to make your locks naturally shine with their zero synthetic pigment color and work of art cuts. A little pigeon told us Real Housewives of New York's Brynn Whitfield was spotted leaving here recently with her hair looking fab.

Skin Eleve

One of the few spas in the Los Angeles area to offer Madonna's and Kim Kardashian's favorite Oxylight Facial (also known as the Red Carpet Facial). While Chatsworth can be a drive from LA proper, it's worth it as they offer this 90-minute treatment for half the price of the other handful of spas in town with this technology. We saw the smoothing, lifting, and brightening results after just one non-invasive treatment.

Surya Spa*

Walking into this sanctuary next door to the posh Proper Hotel in downtown Santa Monica just smells expensive — like your rich childless cool aunt's Malibu mansion. That's the scent of their herby, organic, sesame (sometimes coconut) based oils. Concoctions cooked for days with "mantras and moonlights" designed to calm, energize, open your heart, or slim you down. Known for their signature two-and-a-half-hour Nourish & Restore/ Abhyanga + Shirodhara four-hand (!) body massage with oil infusions streamed over your forehead to "calm your nervous system and dissolve stress." ($695).  Also famous for their Panchakarma traditional cleanse which ranges from three to 28 days (starting at $3K). Clients have called this completely immersive experience "life-changing," claiming to "see and feel the benefits forever." Gwyneth Paltrow even swears by it. Speaking of Goop–––Surya is also known for their $225 45-minute Yoni Steam (remember those?). Other celebrity clients who have sung Surya's praises include Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker, Aaron Rodgers, Anya Taylor-Joy, Amber Valletta, Shailene Woodley, Khloe Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner.

The NOW Massage

This oasis in the city of Newport Beach makes you feel like you're in a spa at a tropical resort (but at a more affordable price point). Known for their signature Swedish-style full-body massage with lavender aroma therapy ($170) and their popular deep tissue ($20) and gliding cupping ($25) add-ons. Our sources have spotted NFL's A.T. Perry and Taysom Hill here, as well as influencer Ben Azelart.

Tomoko Spa

You've probably seen the Instagram shot of celebrities and influencers here: wrapped in kimonos, skin a-glowing, as they clink their ceramic cups in front of a sushi platter. You may have even passed by its office building-like entrance on Beverly Drive across from Honor Bar and had no clue what was behind its nondescript doors. Tomoko's treatments are a blend of Swedish, Japanese, and other Asian methods with a focus on pressure points. Their famous Japanese Experience has clients raving that their emphasis on hospitality makes them feel like they're actually in Japan (it costs $1300, just a little less than a one-way ticket to Tokoyo). This all-inclusive three-and-a-half-hour service for two comes with a foot detox massage, body massage, Hinoki bath, and sushi platter in a suite so secluded you don't share any space or amenities with other clients. This low-key privacy is likely a draw for celebs like Jessica Alba, Lea Michele, Ashley Tisdale, Sharon Stone, and Bella Thorne.

Book those appointments now. You deserve it.
