Is there anything more LA than a green juice besides maybe traffic? A morning smoothie is how most celebrities start their day…says every interview ever. So here's a breakdown of the history, what to order, and who you might bump into at these juicy destinations.

It started with carrot juice music agent David Otto made for his friends in the 1970s. Today, this hole-in-the-wall shop up the street from the Beverly Center is still family-owned, independent, and farmer's market driven. Known for their Green Genie (maybe LA's first green juice?), a blend of celery, parsley, spinach, kale, romaine, Granny Smith apple, ginger, and lemon. Their smoothies start with their signature Banana Manna base, a frothy blend of raw frozen bananas and almonds with your choice of juice that tastes just like a milkshake without any refined sugar or ice (we tried it with their seasonal apple persimmon juice and YUM). If you want to put some hair on your chest, go for the John Gotti, which lives up to its gangster name with a punch of wheatgrass, ginger, e3Live Supreme (blue-green algae), and turmeric. You can really taste the farmer's market freshness in all of their concoctions. Here we've spotted Shawn Mendes, Rami Malek, and Lucy Boynton.

If you've ever been to an Equinox, you've probably seen an Earth Bar, but nothing compares to their flagship OG store in the heart of WeHo. Originally, "Good Earth Vitamins" (the photo-op sign remains today), this was one of the first places you could buy supplements and vitamins in the 1970s. Today, their products remain focused on what your body needs without sacrificing taste. Known for Jeff Goldblum, RuPaul, and Duke Nicholson's favorite, The Flaxmaster, packed with their signature plant protein powder, B12, flax oil, almond butter, maca, acai, and banana – basically the best parts of an acai bowl without the junk. Or Joe Keery, Jonathan Majors, and Joel Edgerton's go-to The Workout Smoothie–– tastes just like a chocolate peanut butter cup but is loaded with 54 grams (!) of protein, electrolytes, peanut butter, coconut, cacao, banana, L-glutamine, creatine, and BCAAs. We hear Addison Rae is a regular who loves their freshly pressed juices. Other sightings include Zac Efron, Chris Pratt, David Beckham, Shawn Mendes, Kendall Jenner, and the Biebers.

Walking into LA Grocery & Cafe feels like entering a set of a meticulously curated market, but surprisingly, it's not overpriced (there's a section of sommelier-approved wines under $20). Their smoothie bar only uses the finest whole foods and fresh, not powdered, ingredients, but you can add whey or collagen powder to any drink. We loved the fresh, zesty, creamy flavor of their Professional Greens with vanilla vegan protein. Also known for their Good Morning Smoothie, which will wake you up with a blend of banana, blueberries, Straus Greek yogurt, almond butter, and house-made sprouted California almond milk. We hear Kaia Gerber is a regular (they use her trainer's protein powder).

These TikTok's famous smoothies are worth crossing the 405 for. Female-owned, locally operated, and a certified green business, tucked on Main Street with mint green walls, greenhouse vibes, and a chalkboard menu organizing drinks by "green," "sweet," or "fruity." We tried their most popular Green Monster with banana, kale, walnut, dates, cacao, and whey protein, which had the thick texture of ice cream but tasted healthy enough for a post-hot yoga fix. Other fan favorites include their rich and indulgent Late Night Date, the fruit-forward Strawberry Fields, decadent Chocolate Thunder, and now viral fan favorite Vanilla Birthday. Sightings include Tabatha Brown and Alyssa Lynch.

The year is 2016: Alessandra Ambrosio, Ashley Benson, Nicole Richie, Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Roberts, and more are taking sepia-filter selfies with their clear green juice bottles and are spotted leaving the WeHo location with their signature brown bag. Launched in 2010, before cold-pressed juice went mainstream, their first outpost was a closet-sized space in Brentwood, then a juice truck in Malibu, before launching to multiple locations all over the country. We love their Pressed Freeze almost more than Fro-yo, their classic Daily Greens 3, which makes us feel like the picture of health with the sweetness of apple and zing of ginger, and when we need a reset, their juice cleanses always hit the spot.

Opened in Malibu in 2011 without a business plan, just a vision to make people feel welcome and fueled with organic food, the vibe remains today with their 21 locations across the country. Known for their Yogi, a light tropical blend of their matcha, APEX Greens, Hydration, and Beauty powders, or their Wolverine, which put them on the map, a delicious mix of Peruvian Maca, cacao nibs, and almond butter. Or for something more filling, try the Holy Cow smoothie with real beef organs (!) from Noble Protein, which tastes rich and peanut buttery. We hear Madelyn Cline loves their Matcha Latte, and Ian Somerhalder has always been a regular. In Malibu, we've spotted Andrew Garfield, Dominic Fike, Hunter Schafer, Haley Lu Richardson, Gavin Casalegno, Paris Jackson, Luke Wilson, Jonah Hill, Olivia Jade, Benedict Cumberbatch, Helen Hunt, Shailene Woodley, Gerard Butler, Megan Fox, and Laura Dern. In WeHo by SoulCycle, we saw Glenn Powell bro-ing out with Chord Overstreet buying "a ton of bone broth and a smoothie."
Towards the beach in Santa Monica, on the ground floor of an apartment sits this superfood eats and organic cafe with concrete walls covered in bright graffiti encouraging you to "bee yourself" and "do what you love." Which exactly what the owners did after bonding before a 10-day silent meditation retreat in Joshua Tree, they and wanted to bring healthy food, vibrant colors, and positivity to their community, which is reflected in their naturally day-glow smoothies packed with no ice, only nutrients and flavor. Known for their Boom Boom Cacao with 65 (!!) grams of protein from Collagen, Hemp, Pea protein, and Hydrolyzed whey. We tried their Blue Crush, a colorful blend of blue spirulina, blueberries, vanilla, almond butter, almond milk, and a swirl of their house-made coconut whipped cream that's sweet, but not too sweet, and creamy without a stomach ache. Celebrity fans include: Tom Segura, Cliff Curtis, Howie Mandel, America Ferrara, Alexis Ren, Jay Alvarrez, and Seal.

Around the corner from the historic Dresden in Los Feliz sits the no frills shop serving up healthy and clean juices with hand-cracked fresh coconut water, in-house nut milks, and no ice. We love their Rita Hayworth, a balanced blend of primrose oil, strawberries, rose water, coconut meat, almond mil,k and raw honey, which was floral, fruity, but not overly sweet, and apparently beneficial to women's health. Also known for the Greena Colada, a mix of kale, pineapple, avocado, lime, coconut water, coconut meat, and coconut nectar, we hear Jack Johnson tried when performing nearby. Other sightings include Katherine Heigl, Teresa Palmer, and Alicia Silverstone.

Over the hill in Studio City around the corner from an F45, sits a window on a peach-painted wall adorned with a striped awning, matching umbrellas, and sunny tables on Astroturf. Known for creating comfort food-inspired blends, we are still thinking about their Peaches & Cream smoothie, a mix of pecans, granola, vanilla yogurt, agave, and your choice of milk, which seriously tastes just like a warm slice of peach pie à la mode. They've done partnerships with Hilary Duff, Trish Cyrus, and Kristen Bell (her Peachy Lychee smoothie is still on the menu). Other sightings include Ariel Winter, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Peter Pan himself, Jeremy Sumpter.
