SELENA GOMEZ SETS US STRAIGHT ON HER MENTAL HEALTH

Selena Gomez brought the fire (and the honesty!) to the Nexus Global Summit in New York City over the weekend. While discussing youth mental health, she opened up about a frustration many celebrities face: being called a "victim" for speaking openly about their struggles.

"I really hated that," she said, according to an exclusive eyewitness source at the event. Apparently, Selena feels some people twist her openness about mental health issues as a way to dismiss her experiences.

The source reported Selena saying, "I've chosen to share my story to help raise awareness," she continued, "and then some folks say I'm playing the victim. It's incredibly annoying because I'm talking about these struggles to help others, not for sympathy!"

Now, here's the kicker: Our source says Selena finished with a mic drop moment! "And I hope someone recorded that and that it does leak," she reportedly said, "because I really hate it when people say I'm playing the victim!"

Looks like she's not here for the negativity. By speaking out so candidly, she's not only raising awareness but also challenging the stigma around mental health conversations. Let's hope her message resonates with those who need it most.
