DO THESE TWO BUDDIES HAVE BEEF?

Mindy Kaling and BJ Novak, the ultimate will-they-won't-they couple from both The Office and our imaginations, have kept us guessing for years. But unlike their on-screen counterparts who (spoiler alert!) rekindled things in the finale, Mindy and BJ have stayed firmly in the friend zone.

This Week a Deux/U podcast listener dropped us a voicemail requesting the latest status of these two. In true comedic form, Mindy Kaling herself responded to Deuxmoi’s Instagram reel saying, “I hate him so much” when we suggested she and Novak might have had a brief falling out.

Well this response was to the amusement of Deuxmoi readers. One baffled reader commented, “I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not and it will run through my head all day.”

BJ Novak was also seen this past week on a date with “a gorgeous blonde at Corner Bistro” an exclusive source reported. “He looked smitten.” Corner Bistro in Greenwich Village is a legendary spot known for its juicy burgers and is a celebrity fan favorite.

As for BJ and Mindy-maybe they’ll surprise us one day, but for now, we'll just have to rewatch their awkward flirting scenes on The Office and dream!
