In the March 10th Deuxmoi Sunday Spotted on Instagram, a reader submitted the following sighting, “Anderson .Paak at Verse in North Hollywood.” The source went on singing the establishment’s praises sharing, “It’s a great restaurant and always has musicians popping in and out. The owner has multiple Grammys.”
Tucked into L.A’s quiet Toluca Lake neighborhood is Verse. Renowned record mixing engineer Manny Marroquin is the brains behind this genius operation. Manny has worked with some of the best in the industry including Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna to name a few. As a winner of 17 Grammys, he has created an immersive experience at Verse, which he classifies as the “modern-day supper club.” Guests can expect to be surrounded by 52 subtly placed speakers throughout the restaurant, out of which they’ll hear the sounds of both live entertainment and hand-picked selections by Manny himself. Verse will occasionally host popular musicians in the industry at the restaurant for these live performances. Our source mentioned, “I saw Allen Stone perform here a couple weeks ago.”
